What is fish oil good for and how does fish oil work?

A good fish oil is a very versatile dietary supplement with many benefits, but what does it actually consist of and what is fish oil good for? Here you can read about why fish oil is good for the body and what effect it has.

A natural balance

Fish oil and cod liver oil (Cod Liver Oil) contain Omega-3 fatty acids, which are important substances that we need to get in our diet. Omega-3 belongs to the group of polyunsaturated fatty acids and is an important part of the diet. We have around 60 billion cells in the body, and these are what fish oil is good for.

DHA is one of the fatty acids in omega-3, and makes up about 20 percent of the brain's fats. The intake of DHA is therefore important for brain function and structure.

Keep an eye on your daily intake

It is primarily the two fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, that regulate the various processes in the body. Since you get omega-6 through, among other things, vegetable oil, it is not a substance we normally lack, as it can be found in most ready-made food. In contrast, we typically do not get enough omega-3. Ideally, we should get about 2 to 4 times more omega-6 than omega-3, but a typical Dane gets about 8 to 10 times more omega-6 than omega-3, -

Take advantage of the natural benefits

In the past, fatty fish has been the absolute most normal way to get omega-3, but due to a lower intake of fish, it is a good idea to compensate with food supplements.

If you want an effect from the fish oil, it requires min. 250 mg EPA + DHA/daily, which contributes to a normal function of the heart, 250 mg DHA/daily contributes to maintaining normal brain function, as well as normal vision.
